The Student Experience

"I learned about psychology and how the brain works, or what makes certain people think the way they do. We didn't have much homework, and it was a good overall experience. A key challenge that I faced was having presentations as summatives. I never really had presentational summatives before, and I was really nervous the first time I did it. So, the following presentational summative, I had my lines and possible questions the audience might ask in little notes. I learned about Andrea Yates - how she thought, why she did what she did, etc I learned about certain fetishes and why they occur Mental health was a big part of what we learned, and how it can help us a students, athletes, musicians, etc."

"Intro to Psychology was such a fun course. This class is a place to learn things you find interesting relating to psychology, while also learning important strategies that can be used anywhere, for example, learning about memory and how to use it to study, as well as relationships and their impacts on them. The course load is quite low, though still challenging compared to other classes, and is a great intro to the AP class. It teaches you fundamental knowledge you need for the AP class, like teaching how to make a good and proper mind map, as well as making an engaging presentation. This course doesn't just help you with AP psych but also your other classes, helping you get into healthy habits and use new strategies."
